Vakko Moda merkezi’nin ev sahipliği yaptığı Stephen Jones “The accent of Fashion” retrospektif sergisini ne zamandır gezmek istiyordum, sürekli aklımdaydı ve en nihayetinde fırsatını bulup Nakkaştepe’ye yolumu düşürdüm.
Hayallerimi süsleyen “Saint Martin” mezunu olan Stephen, Duran Duran gibi popular müzik grubunun yanında Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Comme des Garçons, Dior ve Marc Jacobs gibi moda devlerine özel kreasyon şapkalar tasarlayan bir sanatçı. Şapkayı yaratırken kişiselleştiren, ruh katan bir yetenek.
Sergide fotoğraf çekiminin serbest olması beni çok mutlu etti çünkü o şapkaların hepsini ayrı ayrı beğendim ve bu fotoğrafları fotoğraf arşivime koyarak tekrar tekrar bakabilirim.
Vogue Türkiye’nin Nil Karaibrahimgil ile yapmış olduğu çekimde eminim ki bir çoğumuz Nil’i kıskandık Stephen Jones şapkaları içersinde…

I was trying to find a time to visit Stephen Jones’ retrospective exhibition at the Vakko Fashion Center so finally I did.
Stephen Jones is the alumni of my dream’s college Central Saint Martin’s and he gained his reputation making a collaborations with music band like Duran Duran. Beside this we also designed special collections for designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Comme Des Garçons , Dior and Marc Jacobs. He‘s not creating just a millinery, he’s personalizing his art with adding a soul.
I was very happy when I learnt that taking a photo is not prohibit. Due to that I can add them to my photo archive and share with you as well.
May issue of Vogue Turkey had an interview between Stephen Jones and Turkish singer is Nil Karaibrahimgil. She was also the model of shots with wearing his beautiful millineries. I must confess that I jealous her.
